Do not waste your time.

I really do not recommend it, I think they should improve their logistics and way of generating their reservations, I made a reservation and they never generated a reservation code, in addition to taking a long time to respond to you.

Fraudulent Company / Scam

Similar to other reviews, they take your payment, give a confirmation to the hotel booking, then cancel just before the scheduled stay. In my case, the email was the night before my stay. The hotel has no obligation or authority here as the booking was done through a third party. I was already in Las Vegas at the Red Rock hotel check-in before it came to my attention. It was late, past business hours. I could not get in touch with anyone from HotelPower - not that it would have done any good; this was not a mistake, it was a scam. With suitcases in hand, I ended up paying $600+ for one night out of pocket until I could regroup the next morning. In this case, it was good to be an American Express customer. They were extremely helpful in submitting a claim for this. I did end up getting my money back from my credit card, less the $600 I had to pay for the first night. Don't do business with this company. These reviews and complaints have been occurring for some time now; I can't believe this company is still able to operate.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

I have been trying to get a refund from Hotel Power for over a year. I had booked two rooms in a hotel in Lisbon in 2019. Just before our trip I received a notification from the hotel that we had our reservations cancelled and then a letter from Hotel Power saying that due to some internal problem they had, an employee embezzling money, our reservations were affected. I called the hotel directly and they could not give me reservations. I called Hotel Power and spoke with Josh Warren who apologized and called the hotel again. He found us reservations but at a higher price. Because it was closed to our departure time he offered to reimburse us for the difference in price. I accepted. When we got to the hotel we were charged not only he higher price but additionally 20 euros per person per day because the reservation were made for one person per room when my wife and I were traveling with another couple. I tried to explain at the hotel and showed them the original booking showing two rooms per couple. Basically they said take it or leave it.
When I returned I tried to contact Josh Warren but got no reply. I finally spoke with someone who told me that Josh had left the company. She said to forward her the information which I did. I sent copies of bills and the copy of the email from Josh. Never got a reply. After several more tries I finally spoke to another rep who told me that the rep I had spoken to previously had also left the company. I spoke to a manager and never got a follow up reply. I spoke to another person who said I should be dealing with GIT Corporate which I followed up and started writing to them. After getting the same basic runaround, I wrote to the CEOs R. Warren and M Gross but never got a reply.
Then Covid hit and I put everything on hold. I started writing again to Hotel Power and GTI and if, as I suspect there will be no follow up, I am ready to send all my documentation to the BBB and Florida Attorney General. Although I should be upset at Trivago since it was thru them that I ended up with Hotel Power and this problem. Stay away from Hotel Power.

How about minus 10 stars??!

How about minus 10 stars??!! How do we go about filing a class action lawsuit so we all get our money back from these scammers? It’s about time they are put out of business and into jail.

TERRIBLE - DO NOT TRUST

TERRIBLE - DO NOT TRUST!!!

I booked a hotel through Hotel Power in Boston for a weekend trip for my husband and me this past July. I paid and my credit card was charged when I made the reservation. Then I received an email two days before our trip saying that due to an employee embezzlement scheme “some of our customers’ reservations may have been canceled at the scheduled properties. We have identified your reservation as one that the supplier will not honor.” Sure enough, when I called the hotel they said they did not have my reservation. I had to re-book through the hotel and pay again. I still have not received a refund even though they reported this was an issue on their end.

A JOKE

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD! I came to my hotel that I “booked” and my card was already charged. The hotel had no record of my reservation and had no available rooms. There were numerous other people in the lobby, room less. We were all essentially homeless for the night in Philly because of this company. I never got my money back. They responded to my email 4 months ago saying they were “looking into it.” Please don’t book through this company.

0 Stars !! SCAM!!

0 Stars !!!
Worst experience we’ve ever had with a booking agency. We booked an all inclusive resort stay in Cabo for a wedding and 30 minutes before we board our plane we receive an email about “embezzlement” . I tried calling hotel power but it was never answered. I called THE RESORT and they had NEVER HEARD OF OUR NAME. Our reservation was non-existent and we were supposed to check in that same day. When we “booked” our stay we paid $732, that we need to file a charge back for ( where did that money go to begin with? ) Arriving at the resort , our only solution was to “rebook” aka pay an additional $800 . This “company” needs to be shut down.

I wouldn't even give them 1 star

I wouldn't even give them 1 star. Florida is under a State of Emergency due to approaching Hurrican Dorian, and the jerk on the phone says nothing we can do for you, You are outside of the cancellation terms to get a refund. The hotel does not penalize under this I spoke to them and confirmed but since hotelpower.com has already taken my money I don't get money back even if the hotel washes away. I will never ever ever ever book with this site again. I also think that it's against the law for them to do this when a state of emergency has been declared, you bet your bottom i will research that!

I booked a room in April for my…

I booked a room in April for my sister's 70th birthday. At the end of July I received a letter saying that due to a "significant employee embezzlement" my reservation was cancelled and I would need to re-book through the hotel. I would then have to file a claim with my credit card company. It is now the end of August an the claim is still in dispute. As an aside, I had to pay an additional $100 for the hotel reservation. This seems like a great business model for the hotel power folks, collect your money, cancel the reservation, and then drag your feet when the payment is disputed. Just for anyone else who has had a similar experience they list their office address as 1060 Maitland center commons suite 305, Maitland Florida. I will be attempting to file a fraud complaint with the Maitland Police Department and would suggest the same to any other victims.
Nice try on the reply but when I contacted you got referred back to my credit card company. Still waiting for my charge back because, according to your representatives, your bank account is "frozen".

After refusing the charge back.Emails from Stuart & Marvin saying I will be receiving my money well where is my money???!!!! I want my money back!?

Answer This Question

Q:

how do I get my money back, after they ruin my reservation?

A:

Bs Hotel Power plays games with the credit card company & refuses the charge back. After a certain amount of time your credit card company can't charge it back. Hotelpower promises & promises refunds but just lies & lies! They are scammers and should be punished! I have emails saying I'll be refunded but they don't do it!' Try & call them they'll put you on hold for 2 hrs or more. It's about time they get sued! Class action suit & out of business. Their employees should also learn how to speak proper English! Aeful Liars! Horrible Company!
